I have been involved with the world game since 9 years of age playing as a junior for Keilor Austria FC until U16 where I discovered and went on a music sabbatical for the next 25 years. Having had a son who began in soccer time Joey as a 3 year old, in 2014 I began as an assistant coach for Boroondara FC U6. Archie then came across to TUFC in 2016 as an 8 year old. At this point I was keen to further my coaching experience as a coach. I have been involved with TUFC since that time. I have also assisted in my daughters teams for the last 2 years @ TUFC also.
I completed the FFV C Licence course last year and am a passionate advocate for the game. Above all however, I absolutely love the 9-11 age group known as “ The Golden Age” of football. These are the most formative years where our children can be taught the core skills along with the cognitive development to make them more intelligent players.
My aim is to produce a player that can display respect, confidence, pride and team spirit while developing their individual ability and game intelligence. As coaches it is incumbent on us to develop the individual as a person and a player at this age. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a group of young players make progress and develop as people over a season.
I look forward to another great year @ TUFC.
